IMPORTANT NOTICE – Temporary Suspension of CSBG-Funded Activities

Charlotte Area Fund (CAF) has received official notification from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) directing all Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)-funded activities under Contract #48794 to temporarily pause, effective immediately.
This action is the result of a lapse in federal funding following Congress’s failure to pass a federal Appropriations Act or a Continuing Resolution for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2025. As a result, federal funds that support CSBG programs nationwide are currently unavailable.
What This Means
- All CSBG-funded services and activities are paused until federal funding is restored.
- Charlotte Area Fund is prohibited from spending, purchasing, or committing any additional CSBG funds during this period.
- This suspension will remain in effect until further notice from NCDHHS.
