What To Know If I Don’t Have A College Degree?
As part of our agreement with partners, Charlotte Area Fund, Inc. (CAF) is required to provide results of an assessment for all applicants that do not have a college degree. Despite the name, the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE®) helps find out your skills in reading, math, and language. This is NOT a pass-fail test, so don’t worry and relax! The assessment just shows what you already know so that learning programs can be more effective later. Again, the Charlotte Area Fund, Inc. in North Carolina requires the TABE® test if you don’t have a college degree and we will conduct this test free, or at no cost to you, as part of our application process.
It’s important to us that you are fully prepared when submitting your complete and final application with CAF. You can get ready for the TABE® test with free resources like practice tests and study guides. We’ve provided online resources below, but there are many more that you can find on your own.
