This 6-week program will successfully prepare participants to earn Certified Premise Cabling Technicians (CPCT) credential and the Fiber Optic Technician (FOT) accredited by the FOA). Course participants will learn how to identify fiber types, recognize various connectors used in fiber installation; install, terminate, splice and properly test installed fiber cable to existing standards. Average annual income, entry level is estimated at $42,000. Familiarity with operating systems and a variety of consumer communications such as smartphones, routers, modems converters, and wireless devices is a plus!
